Yup. We planned a day long workshop with 90 kraaaaazy kids, 90 bad ass W+K buddies, and heaps and heaps and heaps of glitter, pom poms and felt, all crammed into one big room.

The My Creative Spark workshop, a whole day busting with glorious glitter and glue is W+K’s attempt to give a lil back to three local schools that have had their arts budgets cut wayyy back. Like wayyyy back. Like NO GLUE STICKS back. So, with a lot of help from their imagination we took these little guys on a wicked wild trip to CREATOPIA. Yes, Creatopia. A world of workshops where you go to be...you guessed it. Creative.

Firstly, the kiddiewinks and buddies hopped into their spaceship (or whatever method of transport they have in their Creatopia) and designed and made their very own planet. But, I hear you cry/quietly query. “How can you identify a fellow Creatopian?” Great question, and exactly what the secret handshake and innovative S/S 2017 fashion catwalk sessions were for. Then, led by our in-house W+K flag specialists, we made bright and breezy flags to wave around patriotically and proudly and planetly.

We got some pretty swell feedback from the kiddos. They made our ovaries scream with lovely remarks like;

Coming here is like actual sunshine inside

I think coming here is better than watching Manchester United and that's my number 1 thing

I like it that no one is looking at their phones. At home that happens all the time

I feel important today, like I did that time I was star of the week

It was a pretty great day because we made some tiny little humans feel important, and that’s pretty cool. And they made some big grown up humans feel kinda important too, which is potentially even cooler.

We reunited kiddies with buddies at The Forever Curious Exhibition. where we displayed all of the goodies that they'd created. There was a healthy snack and juice box reception, followed by some up and coming next generation art, and a high chance of leaving with a pipe cleaner stuck to your shoe.

Last year Wieden + Kennedy opened its doors to 90 8 year olds. Nope, I'm not talking about the next round of creative placements. I'm talking about...
